Little Lon Distilling Co.

Explore our range of handcrafted small batch gin

Little Lon Distilling Co. has an interesting history. Located in north-east Melbourne, Little Lonsdale was a red light district where “larrikin” and “wenches” wandered to get drunk during the 1850s.

Fast forward today, Little Lon is now known as a distillery that pays homage to Little Lonsdale and its colourful history through handcrafted gins.

Each batch is made by distilling a mix of Australian malted barley and Melbourne water in a 200-litre copper still. Botanicals and other ingredients are then infused to complete the drink.

Little Lon is best known for the Constable Proudfoot, a London dry gin named after one of Little Lonsdale’s old law enforcers. It has a strong juniper flavour with a pine and rosemary finish.

For fans of fruity gins, Little Miss Yoko is for you. Named after a popular red light district temptress, this gin is infused with lychees and given more depth with vanilla and other baking spices.

Little Lon also offers masterclasses on gin tasting and cocktail making. Visit their cottage-inspired location to learn about their distillation process, how they choose the kind of flavours and botanicals for each gin, and end the night sampling all of Little Lon’s wares.
