Brogan’s Way Distillery

Instead of pursuing a career in the medical field, Brogan Carr trained as a distiller at the Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh. She later opened Brogan’s Way, a distillery and bar in the heart of Melbourne.

Brogan’s Way aims to create gins that tow the line between classic and bold. When it comes to coming up with new flavours, Carr works with a group of people to make and taste test recipes. She wants each small batch to give customers a “spirited sensation,” as well as incorporate her personal favourite flavour profiles and memories into each creation.

For starters, there’s the Everyday Salvation Gin, an Australian dry gin. The taste of juniper berry and white grapefruit stand out the most. It also has some spicy notes of cinnamon myrtle and pepper berries.

For a fruitier taste, the Evening Light Gin has a zesty kick courtesy of ingredients like raspberries and mangoes. You can also taste refreshing hints of river mint. Brogan’s Way has other fruit-infused gins available in their bar and on their online store.
