Flinders Peak Winery & Distillery

Small batch, hand crafted, artisan Gin.

Flinders Peak is an 80-acre land filled with farm-grown Shiraz grapes found at Ipswich Boonah Road. It is only forty-five minutes away from Brisbane. The one-stop accommodation caters to guests of around 80 with twenty on-site villas for staying or even wedding occasions.

The wine tasting cellar door and functions are the final stops of bottled Shiraz grapes that they initially planted on-site, picked, fermented, and distilled into barrels.

Known for its bottled Shiraz spirits, Flinders Peak crafts different breweries and distilleries. Flinders Peak infuses these spirits to organic botanicals that paved the way to their award-winning small-batch, hand-crafted gin.

The Citrus and Spice Gin has two main organics: juniper and coriander. Jason, the master distiller, blended them to perfection with ingredients such as Callistemon flowers, lemon, rose petals, fresh turmeric, sumac, and lavender all hand-picked from the same farm.

For Jason, along with Aretha, it’s been an experience to go home with four prestigious awards in 2018 for their brandy, gin, lemon schnapps, and grappa. The Citrus and Spice stood out from competing against the 69 best entries for the 2018 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards.

What makes this gin even more overwhelming is that it received a warm acceptance from local boutique beverage shops and bars.

Considering the scenery of 300 trees and 20,000 Shiraz plus a lot of cherry picks, you’ll never go wrong for chilling with bottles of Shiraz spirits’ goodness for a few to more nights stay at Flinders Peak.
