Waterview Distillery

A distillery with a rich and eventful history, Waterview Distillery goes all the way back to 1892 when Samuel Johnson established the distillery from the success of his sugar mill and sawmill.

With the help of rum and distilling legend, Dr. Lou Muller, a group of seekers went on to recover a barrel with rum inside. From that day in 2013, after being absent for a century, Waterview Distillery returns to production witnessed by enthusiasts.

Enjoy their range of beverages and spirits with various flavours that will cater to different tastes and preferences. With products that are all Australian-made, all their flavours and ingredients come from native plants and the purest of water.

Waterview now produces the Heart & Soul gin line, considered as the “new age” gin that has veered away from the mainly juniper flavor. Juniper, however, is still utilised in the distillation process. Major botanicals are locally sourced citrus and cardamom.

Heart & Soul tends to have a menthol taste that ends in citrus notes. It is excellent for making lemonades with gin since it is perfect for the mixer’s tart and sweetness.

If you have some extra time, visit their café, and try their variety of unique desserts that are sure to tickle your taste buds. They also offer their wine and other beverages. Plus, some of the food has been unfused with liquor as well.
