Hurdle Creek Still

Australian grown gin made from 100% Australian grains and botanicals

Since 2016, the family-owned Hurdle Creek Still has been producing artisan gin sold in the King Valley region.

Their in-house distillery called The StillHouse is where everything happens. The gin base, made from milled barley, malt, and triticale, is triple distilled in a custom-made reflux still.

The gin is then infused with locally sourced botanicals to give it that distinct classic flavour—sometimes with a little twist using seasonal ingredients.

Hurdle Creek Still’s rendition of a classic gin is the Yardarm Distilled Gin. You can taste traditional notes of juniper and coriander, but it’s also made better with citrus and spicy notes from botanicals like orange peel, lemon myrtle, hop flowers, and pink peppercorns.

They also offer limited-edition gins like the dark red Cherry Gin. It’s made from handpicked cherries from Eldorado Orchards, which were then steeped in lemon myrtle and cassia gin. The result is a uniquely rich and sweet spirit that you can enjoy with fruity garnishes.

Guests are free to visit Hurdle Creek Still and The StillHouse to see the distillation process in action and tour the premises. They also get the chance to speak with the head distiller and sample fresh batches of their famous gin.
