Loch Brewery & Distillery

Located inside an old bank in Loch Village, the Loch Brewery & Distillery has been dedicated to crafting quality Australian gin since 2014.

Walk along Victoria Road and you’ll instantly spot the distillery, which is a tall red brick structure. It certainly stands out in the small residential village.

Loch Brewery & Distillery produces small batches of gin, which are distilled in Alembic copper pot stills made in Portugal. They are then infused with finely ground botanicals to add flavour and fragrance.

The classic Dry Gin has a juniper berry lead, which is given a little spice courtesy of botanicals like cinnamon, liquorice root, and nutmeg.

Meanwhile, The Weaver has a more savoury finish. It also has a juniper lead, but it has more citrusy elements like lemon myrtle, strawberry gum, and anise myrtle.

Loch has also produced a limited-edition G&T Gin made with locally sourced botanicals. The star is bergamot, which adds a strong citrus flavour. As the name suggests, this is the perfect gin to use when you’re making a G&T at home.

Stop by Loch Brewery & Distillery to buy bottles of gin at the Cellar Door; or take photos in front of the eye-catching structure. Either way, you’ll go home with a souvenir.
