Wilmot Hills Distillery

Small boutique distillery nestled in the hills of Wilmot

Established in 1991 at the breathtaking Wilmot Hills, the Wilmot Hills Distillery, (which was then a vineyard/winery), is now a successful distillery–under the careful management of Jo Louw. He recently got his hands on the business from John and Ruth Cole, who sold what was once a vineyard to Jo.

As a tribute to the previous owners, Jo remains to hand craft their spirits like gin, pomadoros, grappa, and absinthe, which are all a100% made in Tasmania. Using natural flavours (like fruits and flowers) that can be acquired in the beautiful hills of Tasmania, Wilmot Hills Distillery never fails to please the tastebuds of their customers.

Discover this for yourself and visit their Cellar Door, which is located near Lake Barrington and not far away from Mount Roland and Davenport. When you go there, look for Jo and you are sure to be welcomed with a beautiful smile and a warm welcome. Once you’re there you should also not miss dropping by their Orchard and be amazed by their around 300 trees of apple boasting in their majestic vineyard.

And when you find yourself so hooked in their Cellar and vineyard that you would like to stay a little bit more, no worries because they also have a cabin that is being used as an Airbnb. And yes, private free tasting of their gin products is included! What more can you ask for?
